In preparation for the deprecation of `stdenv.isX`.
These shorthands are not conducive to cross-compilation because they
hide the platforms.
Darwin might get cross-compilation for which the continued usage of `stdenv.isDarwin` will get in the way
One example of why this is bad and especially affects compiler packages

There are too many files to go through manually but a treewide should
get users thinking when they see a `hostPlatform.isX` in a place where it
doesn't make sense.

The nixpkgs-unstable channel's programs.sqlite was used to identify
packages producing exactly one binary, and these automatically added
to their package definitions wherever possible.
Removed unnecessary dependencies as described below
flvstreamer: not used by get_iplayer
rtmpdump: not used by get_iplayer
perlPackages:
HTMLParser: pulled in by LWP
HTMLCookies: pulled in by LWP
XMLSimple: not used by get_iplayer
Also updated meta.description and meta.homepage - old site is defunct.
After making `ffmpeg` point to the latest `ffmpeg_4`, all packages that
used `ffmpeg` without requiring a specific version now use ffmpeg_3
explicitly so they shouldn't change.
Package stopped building after closure-size merge because
buildPerlPackage has docdev in its default outputs.
There is also a decent man page in the source distribution, which I
added to the "man" output.
